The core of our study involved UVB- irradiation induced damage to the dorsal skin of rats, which increased epidermal thickness, decreased elastic collagen fibers, and increased hyperplasia in the epidermal region. This helped us gain a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying skin aging and the body’s response to skin injuries by UVB. Natural sunscreens are well known for their ability to alleviate inflamed sunburn and dry skin. One of our notable achievements includes the development of a novel topical formulation that enhances wound healing by promoting tissue regeneration, which has shown promising results in clinical trials using in vivo animal model.
Work & Experience
Following my PhD, I was inspired to join the Post-doctoral Fellow at Kalasalingam Academy of Research Institute and focus the Fabrication of bioactive compounds mediated wound healing patch for diabetic patients in selected Animal System. The current project almost complete for publication.
