About Candidate
I (Muthaiah Shellaiah) was born in India, received my Ph.D. in Jan. 2013, and had a post-doctoral experience (5 months) under the supervision of Prof. Hong-Cheu Lin at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (ROC). Then between Sep 2014 to July 2023 (8 years and 11 months), I worked as a post-doctoral researcher on multiple projects in Prof. Kien Wen Sun’s laboratory at the Department of Applied Chemistry, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (ROC). From November 2023 to June 2024 (7 months), I was an Assistant Professor (Research) at the Department of Research and Analytics, SIMATS, Saveetha University, Chennai, India. Currently, working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the “National Research Institute of Chinese Medicine, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan (ROC)”. I have published over 60 SCI research/review papers, of which 40 are in the Q1 journals. I also serve as a member of the topical advisory panel and currently act as a co-guest editor in a special issue running in “Chemosensors” journal. Recently, I have been recognized as “Outstanding Reviewer (2023)” in “New Journal of Chemistry (an RSC publishing Journal)”. I am also being recognized as a Top 2% scientist by Stanford University for consecutive years 2023 and 2024. Presently, working on bioactive organic molecules, nanomaterials, chemosensors, supramolecular complexes, and organic/inorganic hybrid solar cells.
