M Tech Project Title: Noise Cancellation in ECG Signal Using Computationally Efficient Adaptive Filtering Algorithms Software : Matlab Team Size: 1 Guide : Dr. Shaik Rafi Ahamed, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, IIT Guwahati Description: In ambulatory ECG wireless data transmission, at the receiver, more and more complexity increases as the ECG data transmission rate increases. So, increasing the data rate from the transceiver results in the channel impulse response increasing, and thus the order of the filter increases. The resulting increase in complexity makes the real-time operation of the biotelemetry system difficult, especially in view of the simultaneous shortening of the symbol period, which means that less and less time will be available to carry out the computations while the volume of computation continues to increase. This project aims to come up with an algorithm that reduces the computation complexity at the receiver and achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio compared to the existing algorithms. In order to achieve these two requirements, I have proposed the Normalized Sign Regressor Algorithm
