Job Description
Jamia Hamdard (JH) is a Deemed to be University, declared by the Government of India, Ministry of Education, via Gazette Notification dated 10th May 1989. JH is a research-oriented institution ranked among the top 50 universities in India and ranked 1st in the Pharmacy category in NIRF 2024.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following non-teaching positions at Jamia Hamdard. These positions will be filled on a Tenure/Regular/Contractual/Deputation basis as per the details provided below.

Annexure A: Qualification & Experience Requirements
1. Registrar (On Tenure/Deputation Basis) [Age of Retirement: 62 years]
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
- Experience:
- 15 years as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above
- OR 8 years as Associate Professor in Academic Level 12 and above, with experience in educational administration
- OR 15 years of administrative experience, with 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post
2. Finance Officer (On Tenure/Deputation Basis) [Age of Retirement: 62 years]
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
- Experience:
- 15 years as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above
- OR 8 years as Associate Professor in Academic Level 12 and above, with experience in educational administration
- OR 15 years of administrative experience, with 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post
- Desirable: Preference for candidates with CA/ICWA qualifications and experience in university/educational institutes
