The Sonoco International Business Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, invites applications for a tenure-track opening at the rank of Assistant Professor in International Business, beginning August 2026. This is a full-time position based on a 9-month academic year, with a salary range between $185,000 – $200,000.

• Corruption, innovation, and entrepreneurship
• Geopolitical risk, digital transformation, and AI in IB
• Regional expertise: Southeast Asia, Africa, and emerging markets

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Business Administration or a closely related field by August 2026
• Proven or potential excellence in research and teaching
• Strong disciplinary and regional expertise in international business

Preferred:

• Research in AI, cybersecurity, global value chains, or digital economy
• Experience with emerging markets (e.g., Southeast Asia, Africa)
• Publications in top-tier academic journals
