Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
  • Must have cleared NET/SET or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations (2009/2016).
  • Candidates registered for Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SET, provided they fulfill the following:
    • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
    • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
    • Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
    • At least two published research papers (one in a refereed journal).
    • Presented at least two papers in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-funded conferences/seminars.

OR
Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the Top 500 (QS, THE, or ARWU rankings).
