Qualification & Eligibility
As per UGC/HPU norms:
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent foreign university.
- Cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent, or possession of a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations (2009/2018).
Ph.D. Candidates Exemption from NET/SLET/SET:
Applicants registered before 11 July 2009 are exempt, subject to the following:
- Ph.D. degree awarded in regular mode only.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- Open viva voce conducted.
- At least two research papers published (one in a refereed journal).
- Minimum two presentations in conferences/seminars from Ph.D. work.
All above conditions must be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).
