CUSAT invites applications from eligible candidates for Assistant Professor positions (on contract) in various departments for the academic year 2025-26. Below are the details of the available positions:

1. Centre for Integrated Studies

Position: Assistant Professor (On Contract)
Discipline: Forensic Science
Vacancy: 1

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Forensic Science with 55% marks or equivalent.
  • NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or exemption with Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2018.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
  • One year of teaching/research/laboratory experience in Forensic Science.

Consolidated Salary:

• ₹42,000/- per month for Ph.D. holders.
• ₹40,000/- per month for others.

Tenure:

• Initially for one year, with a break during May-June vacation and potential extension as decided by the university.

2. Division of Computer Science & Engineering (CUCEK)

Position: Assistant Professor (On Contract)
Discipline: Computer Science & Engineering
Vacancy: 1

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualifications:
  • B.E/B.Tech/B.S and M.E/M.Tech/M.S or Integrated M.Tech in the relevant branch with first-class marks.
  • Acceptable combinations include:
    1. B.Tech (CS) + M.Tech (IT)
    2. B.Tech (CS) + M.Tech (CS)
    3. B.Tech (IT) + M.Tech (CS)
    4. B.Tech (IT) + M.Tech (IT)

Consolidated Salary:

• ₹42,000/- per month for Ph.D. holders.
• ₹40,000/- per month for others.

Tenure:

• Initially for one year, extendable to two years, with a break during May-June vacation.

3. Department of Statistics

Position: Assistant Professor (On Contract)
Vacancies: 2

• Post 1: M.Tech in Computer Science/Data Science/Data Analytics with first-class marks.
• Post 2: Master’s degree in Statistics with 55% marks. Preference for candidates with knowledge of computer programming and statistical software.

Eligibility Criteria

• NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent (exempted for Ph.D. holders as per UGC Regulations 2018).
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant field.

Consolidated Salary:

• ₹42,000/- per month for Ph.D. holders.
• ₹40,000/- per month for others.

Tenure:

• Initially for one year, with a break during May-June vacation, extendable as per university requirements.
