Computer Science Assistant Professor Job at St. Olaf College

Position Description:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching five courses annually across the CS curriculum (introductory to advanced)
  • Supporting student advising and mentoring
  • Developing an active research agenda, particularly involving undergraduates
  • Contributing to department-wide initiatives in pedagogy, curriculum, and service
  • Participating in the growth and inclusivity of the MSCS community

All areas of specialization in computer science are welcome. Candidates with a passion for interdisciplinary work and student-centered teaching are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (expected by August 2026)

Preferred:

  • Experience or interest in inclusive teaching methods
  • Demonstrated potential for mentoring undergraduate research
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and department growth

Job Location:

Northfield, Minnesota, USA

Salary Scale:

$83,000 – $88,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
