Position Description:
Job Goal:
To design, coordinate, and deliver individual and/or small group instruction and academic tutoring for elementary school students experiencing academic difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 Math and ELA interventions using data-driven methods
- Collaborate with Instructional Coaches and teachers to implement effective progress monitoring tools
- Participate in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes and case management
- Develop systems to evaluate and refine support strategies for Tier 3 students
- Actively engage in school improvement initiatives with district leadership
- Foster communication and relationships with students and parents through regular outreach
- Contribute to professional development through workshops, seminars, and training
- Maintain consistent attendance and carry out additional duties as assigned
Marginal Functions:
- Work flexibly and build relationships with families, students, and colleagues
- Help students build specific academic skills as needed
- Navigate systems and communicate issues with a problem-solving mindset
- Participate in ongoing professional growth
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania (PA) Teaching Certification
- Proven success in a certified teaching role
- Strong communication, coaching, and instructional skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and collaborative planning
- Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Board
