The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is inviting applications for a full-time High School Teacher – Humanities position at Father Megret High School, located in Hatchet Lake, Saskatchewan. High School Humanities Teacher Job at Father Megret High School

Position Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Foster a safe, enthusiastic, and inclusive learning environment
  • Deliver project-based, culturally grounded instruction aligned with the Saskatchewan curriculum
  • Design and implement lesson plans that reflect diverse student needs
  • Assess, document, and communicate student learning and progress
  • Participate in professional development and community activities
  • Promote Denesuline culture and language through daily teaching practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or equivalent qualification)
  • Valid or eligible Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
  • Experience working with Indigenous students or in remote communities (preferred)
  • First Aid Certification (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan curriculum and teaching frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Empathy, flexibility, and commitment to student development
  • Strong organizational, planning, and classroom management skills
  • Proficient in both verbal and non-verbal communication
