Eligibility & Qualifications

Professor – Academic Level 14

• Ph.D. with 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience, including 4 years as Associate Professor.
• Strong academic record with First Class in Master’s & Bachelor’s degrees.
• Evidence of high-quality research publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in administration, consultancy, and executive education.

Associate Professor – Academic Level 13A2

• Ph.D. with 6 years post-Ph.D. experience, including 3 years as Assistant Professor.
• Consistent academic excellence with First Class in all degrees.
• High-quality research publications and teaching record.
• Administrative and consulting experience desirable.

Assistant Professor, Grade I – Academic Level 12

• Ph.D. with 3 years post-Ph.D. experience.
• Strong academic record with First Class in degrees.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and potential for impactful research.

Assistant Professor, Grade II – Academic Level 11

• Ph.D. with 1 year post-Ph.D. experience.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Potential to publish in reputed international journals.

Assistant Professor, Grade II – Academic Level 10

• Ph.D. (completed or provisional).
• Less than 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience.
• Strong academic record and research potential.

Professor/Associate Professor of Practice

• At least 15 years of industry/government experience.
• Passion for teaching and proven practical expertise.
• May not require Ph.D. if significant domain expertise is demonstrated.
• Appointments on contractual terms (1–2 years, renewable).

Job Location

Pay Scale

• Pay and allowances as per 7th CPC and IIM Amritsar regulations.
• Contractual faculty will receive consolidated remuneration.
