Organization Profile

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences was established in 1986 with the mission of raising professionals and leaders of high academic calibre and integrity. Founded by Late Dr. D. G. S. Dhinakaran and led by present Chancellor Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, the institution began as an engineering college and has since evolved into a UGC-recognized Deemed-to-be University with NAAC accreditation.

Offering a wide range of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs in Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Processing, and Agricultural Sciences, Karunya has grown from 180 students to over 8,491 students and 452 faculty across 18 academic departments.

1. Professors / Associate Professors – Digital Marketing

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Digital Marketing, preferably with specialization in:
  • Digital Media Strategy
  • Analytics
  • SEO/SEM
  • Content Marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • E-Commerce
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in academic or industry media departments.
• Proven expertise in teaching, research, media projects, media management, and digital outreach initiatives.

2. Director – Security and Intelligence

Qualifications:

• Retired IPS Officers with a strong background in security leadership.
• Eligible designations include:
  • Retired Police Commissioner
  • Assistant Commissioner
  • Superintendent of Police
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
  • Assistant DSP
• Responsibilities:
  • Oversee campus-wide and property security.
  • Implement robust safety protocols.
  • Protect students, staff, and infrastructure.
  • Prevent encroachment, public nuisance, and cyber threats.
  • Maintain law and order during major campus events.
  • Deliver expert lectures on cybercrime, intelligence, investigation, and security systems to students in Forensic Science, IT, and Business programs.
