Qualification Requirements:
A. For Indian Degrees
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant subject from a recognized Indian university or equivalent from abroad.
- Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent accredited tests like SET.
- Ph.D. degree holders are exempted from NET/SET if:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Evaluated by at least two examiners.
- Open viva voce conducted.
- Two published papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in refereed journal).
- Presented two conference papers sponsored by recognized bodies like UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
- Certification by Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) required.
- For subjects where NET/SET is not conducted, a Ph.D. remains mandatory.
B. For Foreign Degrees
- Ph.D. from a top 500 globally ranked university as per:
- QS World Rankings
- Times Higher Education (THE)
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
