Quinnipiac University, located in Hamden, Connecticut, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Computer Science at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2025. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the recruitment efforts and contributing to the launch and development of Quinnipiac’s upcoming MS in Informatics program. Candidates with a specialization in Informatics, Data Science, or Big Data are especially encouraged to apply.

Quinnipiac University Assistant Professor in Computer Science

Position Description:

The selected candidate will:

  • Develop and teach courses in Informatics and Computer Science at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Assist in curriculum development for the new MS in Informatics program
  • Establish a scholarly research agenda (preferably with potential for external funding)
  • Guide and mentor students through academic and research initiatives
  • Engage in relevant university and community service activities

Education Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field (required before position start date)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research
  • Specialization in Informatics, Data Science, or Big Data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills
  • Experience working with diverse student and faculty communities
  • Familiarity with current trends in computing and higher education
