Qualification Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from a recognized Indian/foreign university.
  • NET/SET qualification by UGC/CSIR or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Ph.D. holders are exempted from NET/SET if they fulfill the following:
    • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode only.
    • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
    • Open Ph.D. viva conducted.
    • Minimum two research papers published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
    • Presented at least two papers in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored seminars/conferences.

OR

  • Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 globally by:
    • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
    • Times Higher Education (THE)
    • Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
