About the Institution
Sainik School, Satara, established on 23rd June 1961, was the first among 33 such schools in India. It was the vision of Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and was inaugurated by the Defence Minister of India, Shri V. K. Krishna Menon. The school aims to prepare boys from financially weaker sections for entry into the National Defence Academy and other defence services, eliminating regional disparities in military recruitment.

Essential Qualifications

- Experience teaching in a residential public school
- Basic knowledge of English
- Proficiency in games and co-curricular activities
- Knowledge of basic computer applications
