Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale system) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- NET/SET/Ph.D. qualification as per UGC norms is mandatory.
Additional Qualification Criteria (Ph.D. Exemption Conditions):
Candidates registered before July 11, 2009, and holding a Ph.D. may be exempt from NET/SET if:
- Ph.D. was awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis was evaluated by two external examiners.
- Open Ph.D. viva conducted.
- Published two research papers (one in a refereed journal).
- Presented two conference/seminar papers supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR.
OR
Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 globally by:
- QS
- Times Higher Education (THE)
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
