St Stephens College Delhi Hiring Assistant Professors 2025

Qualification Requirements

A. As per UGC Norms

  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant subjects from an Indian or foreign accredited university.
  • NET (UGC/CSIR) qualified or Ph.D. holders as per UGC regulations (2009/2016 and amendments).
  • Ph.D. holders registered prior to July 11, 2009, may be exempt from NET provided they meet the following:
    • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
    • Evaluated by at least two external examiners.
    • Open viva voce conducted.
    • Minimum two research papers published, one in a refereed journal.
    • Minimum two conference/seminar presentations funded by recognized agencies.
    • Certification by Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs).

OR

B. Ph.D. from a Top 500 Ranked Global University

  • From universities ranked in top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.

Pay Scale

  • Academic Pay Level-10 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
