About the College
Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology (SVIST), Secunderabad, is part of the prestigious Mahboob College campus, founded in 1862 by Somasundaram Mudaliar. The institution carries immense historical significance, as Swami Vivekananda himself addressed a large gathering on the grounds in 1893.
Originally established as a primary school, Mahboob College gradually expanded into higher education, offering graduate and postgraduate programs. The engineering division of SVIST was established on 12 April 2004, later expanding to include postgraduate courses. Today, SVIST continues to provide quality education across professional streams.
