Kurukshetra University, established on 11 January 1957, is located in Kurukshetra, Haryana, approximately 160 km from Delhi. The university, a proud member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, was founded with the vision of promoting Indian culture and traditions. The initiative was led by Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, the then Governor of Punjab and a renowned Sanskrit scholar.

Pay Scale
- For candidates with NET/Ph.D.: ₹750 per lecture (up to ₹34,000/month)
- For non-NET/Ph.D. candidates: ₹500 per lecture (up to ₹25,000/month)
