Quinnipiac University is inviting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant in the School of Computing & Engineering. This role supports Program Directors, Department Chairs, and faculty members, acting as a liaison between the school and other university departments.

Job Title:
- Administrative Assistant – School of Computing & Engineering
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Campus Location: Mount Carmel, Hamden, CT
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operation of School of Computing & Engineering programs
- Manage calendars for Program Directors and Department Chairs
- Prepare documents, reports, meeting minutes, and memos
- Maintain academic records and department files
- Organize departmental events (e.g., Welcome Weekend, Projects Day)
- Manage orders for supplies and equipment
- Coordinate meetings, travel, and event logistics
- Process purchase requisitions and budget checks
- Serve as point of contact with Registrar’s Office
- Maintain confidentiality of student and faculty information
- Supervise student workers and assist in faculty recruitment efforts
- Review and distribute mail; handle office correspondence
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Skilled in managing multiple complex calendars
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and handle confidential information
- Experience in high-level administrative support is preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Job Details:
- Hourly Rate: $25.97
- Work Schedule: 35 hours/week
