Job Description

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati has released a recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for Professor positions in Anaesthesiology and General Surgery. These positions are on a contractual basis, and recruitment will be conducted through email application and walk-in interviews.

About the Institution

AIIMS Guwahati, an Autonomous Institute of National Importance, is one of the new AIIMS institutions established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It was developed under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) to address regional disparities in quality tertiary healthcare and to achieve self-sufficiency in medical education and training across India.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• A medical qualification listed in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  (Candidates with qualifications in Part II must also fulfill the conditions under Section 13(3) of the Act.)
• A postgraduate qualification such as MD/MS or an equivalent recognized degree in the relevant discipline.

Pay Scale

• Rs. 2,20,000 per month
