Job Description

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK), Kalaburagi, has officially announced a recruitment notification for faculty jobs in the academic year 2025-2026. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for positions in the departments of English and Life Sciences on a contractual basis through email and walk-in interviews.

Teaching Faculty (Contractual Basis)

Central University of Karnataka Hiring for Teaching Faculty in English and Life Science

Qualification Criteria:

  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian or recognized foreign university.
  • UGC/CSIR-NET/SET qualification is mandatory unless exempted under specific UGC regulations.
  • Ph.D. holders are exempted from NET/SET under certain UGC regulations (2009/2016), provided they meet all required conditions:
    • Awarded Ph.D. in regular mode
    • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners
    • Open viva voce conducted
    • Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal)
    • Two conference/seminar presentations
  • Ph.D. from foreign universities ranked among the top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU is also accepted.

Pay Scale:

  • ₹40,000/- for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET
  • ₹45,000/- for candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and Ph.D. in the relevant subject
