Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College Recruitment 2024: Part-Time Counsellor Position

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, affiliated with the University of Delhi, invites applications for a part-time Counsellor position on a contractual basis for a period of six months. This faculty recruitment opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in clinical psychology and counseling. Applications must be submitted by November 11, 2024.

Position Details

  • Position: Counsellor (Part-Time)
  • Number of Posts: 01
  • Salary: ₹3,000 per visit (thrice a week) + ₹500 conveyance per visit
  • Age Limit: 55 years
  • Tenure: 6 months

Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology/Counseling Psychology with First Class and at least one year of relevant experience in an educational institution.
    OR
  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with relevant experience of six years after the qualifying degree, three years of which should be counseling experience in an academic or medical institution.
    OR
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology and Diploma in Mental and/or Social Psychology with six years of relevant experience after the diploma, three years of which should be counseling experience in an academic or medical institution.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience administering psychological tests as needed both online and offline.
  • Familiarity with relevant software for patient record-keeping.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in a multi-linguistic setting.
  • Administrative experience in managing counseling services and working with students aged 18–30.
  • Experience counseling students in highly competitive educational environments.
  • Proven counseling experience in group settings, individual counseling within educational institutions, or a mental health care clinic.
