Eligibility Criteria

The selected Director will serve as both the academic and administrative head of an IIIT. Eligible candidates should demonstrate:

• Academic & Leadership Excellence:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field with a strong academic record.
  • Minimum of 7 years as a Professor in a well-regarded educational institute.
  • Proven experience in Ph.D.-level research guidance.
• Leadership Skills:
  Strong administrative skills with a commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence and educational innovation.
• Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aged preferably below 60 years.
  • Passion for teaching, research, and guiding students.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.

The Director’s appointment will be contractual for five years or until the age of 70, whichever is earlier, and will be finalized by the Competent Authority based on recommendations from a Search-cum-Selection Committee. Both self-applicants and nominations from esteemed individuals are welcome.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay: ₹2,10,000 (Fixed) per month as per 7th CPC
• Special Allowance: ₹11,250 monthly
• Additional Allowances: As per institute norms
