J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (formerly YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, and YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad) was established in 1969 as a joint venture of the National Council of YMCAs of India, Government of Haryana, and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany.

The University began as an Indo-German collaboration aimed at providing high-quality technical and professional education aligned with international standards.
