Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow Vacancy at Georgetown University

Position Description:

This opportunity is designed for candidates pursuing clinical and outreach experience within a higher education setting. The fellow will contribute significantly to student well-being, education, and mental health initiatives at Georgetown.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Psychological evaluation and crisis intervention
  • Short-term individual counseling
  • Campus outreach and mental health education
  • Consultation with faculty, staff, parents, and deans
  • All services are provided under the supervision of licensed CAPS psychologists

Work Relationships:

  • Reports to Associate Director for Psychology Training
  • Works under the oversight of the CAPS Director
  • Collaborates with departments across Student Affairs
  • Acts as a mental health consultant to stakeholders on campus

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Completion of a pre-doctoral internship in psychology or a related field
  • Experience or training in one or more of the following:
    • Multicultural and diversity issues
    • Eating disorders and substance abuse
    • LGBTQ+ mental health
    • Trauma and sexual assault response

Preferred:

  • Experience in college mental health settings

Job Location:

Washington, D.C. (Hybrid – in-person and remote work)

Pay Range:

$41,926 – $65,090 annually
(Compensation is based on qualifications, skills, experience, and university guidelines.)
