About the Institution
Sainik School Sambalpur, Odisha, is the 33rd Sainik School in India and the second in Odisha, inaugurated on 27 February 2015 by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha. The school follows the vision of Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon, Defence Minister of India in the early 1960s, to establish schools with a military-oriented environment in each state to prepare young aspirants for the National Defence Academy (NDA).

Eligibility & Qualification
- Educational Qualification:
- Integrated Post Graduate course in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks.
- OR Master’s Degree in relevant subject with 50% marks and studied the subject at Graduation level.
- OR 3-year integrated B.Ed – M.Ed / 4-year integrated degree (with B.Ed component) from NCTE recognized institution with minimum 50% marks.
- Additional Requirements:
- B.Ed or equivalent degree with 50% marks from NCTE recognized institution.
- Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
- Age Limit: 21–40 years as on 30 September 2025.
Pay Scale
- PGT: Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100
- TGT: Rs. 69,595
- LDC: Rs. 19,900 – Rs. 63,200
