Job Description

National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY) invites eligible Indian Nationals to attend the walk-in interview for faculty recruitment. The recruitment is for faculty positions in the Department of Physics on a purely temporary basis – either as Faculty on Contract or Visiting Faculty.

About the Institution

NIT Puducherry is one of the newer National Institutes of Technology, situated in the scenic town of Karaikal in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Established in 2010, NITPY has rapidly grown into a premier technical institution. The institute emphasizes nurturing responsible and capable technocrats who contribute to national progress. It admits students through JEE Mains with:

  • 50% reservation for candidates from Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam
  • 50% of seats filled on an All India basis

Qualifications Required:

  • First Class in B.Sc. and M.Sc.
  • Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is desirable

Employment Type:

  • Faculty on Contract – Rs. 54,000 per month (consolidated)
  • Visiting Faculty – Rs. 2,000 per hour (hourly basis)
