Tezpur University has announced faculty recruitment for the post of Contractual Faculty for the year 2025. Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply via email before the deadline.

Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • A Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
2. Eligibility Requirements:
   • Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or an equivalent test such as SLET/SET,
     OR
   • Hold a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations (2009/2016 or subsequent amendments).
3. Ph.D. Exemption Clause:
   Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET provided they meet the following conditions:
   • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
   • Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
   • Open viva voce conducted.
   • Published two research papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal).
   • Presented two papers in conferences/seminars funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
   (Certification of the above conditions must be provided by the Registrar or Dean of Academic Affairs.)
4. Ph.D. from Foreign University:
   Candidates holding Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in any of the following global rankings are also eligible:
   • QS World University Rankings
   • Times Higher Education (THE)
   • Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
