The Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, invites submissions for the inaugural edition of the Indian Journal of Child & Youth Justice. This academic initiative seeks to enrich discourse on critical issues surrounding child rights and youth justice.

About CCYJ, NALSAR
The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad was Established in 1998, NALSAR University of Law has been at the forefront of legal education and research in India. The Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) is a specialized initiative by NALSAR in collaboration with CRY (Child Rights and You). Through research, advocacy, and education, CCYJ is dedicated to advancing children’s rights and well-being.
About the Indian Journal of Child & Youth Justice
The journal aims to serve as a platform for exploring legal, social, psychological, developmental, and policy dimensions of child rights. It seeks to address multifaceted challenges and propose innovative interventions aligned with international standards for child protection and well-being.
Themes & Sub-Themes
The primary theme for this edition is “Juvenile Justice and Child Rights”. Authors are encouraged to explore topics such as:
- Child Abuse
- Child Trafficking
- Child Labour
- Climate Change and Its Impact on Children
- Children in Cyberspace
- Crime Against Children
- Right to Education, Health, and Development
- Legal Reforms and Stakeholder Roles
Submissions on related topics are also welcome.
Eligibility
The journal invites submissions from:
- Legal practitioners
- Policymakers
- Researchers and students
- NGOs and other stakeholders
Submission Guidelines
- Originality: Submissions must be unpublished and not under review elsewhere.
- Co-authorship: Up to two authors permitted.
- Language: English
- Word Count:
- Short articles: 3,000–5,000 words
- Long articles: 5,000–10,000 words
- Case comments/Book reviews: 1,500–3,000 words
- Formatting:
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point, double-spaced
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Referencing: Bluebook 21st Edition

How to Submit Call for Papers Indian Journal of Child & Youth Justice
Submissions are accepted only through the Google Form provided. Other modes will not be considered.
Fee
There is no submission or publication fee.
Selection Process
The submitted journal will undergo a rigorous two-stage review process. In the first stage, the joint editors will conduct a blind review to assess the manuscript’s eligibility for further consideration. If the manuscript clears this stage, it will be forwarded to the editorial board for a thorough evaluation through a double-blind review process. Based on the recommendations of the editorial board, the manuscript may either be accepted, with revisions requested if necessary, or not accepted. Authors of rejected manuscripts will not receive a separate notification regarding non-acceptance.
