Zulekha College of Education, Nagpur, invites applications from eligible candidates for positions in Assistant Professor, Fine Art, and Librarian roles for the 2025 academic year. Interested candidates can apply through postal mode before 27-02-2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Assistant Professor:

Option A:

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
  • Must have cleared NET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations (2009/2016).

Exemption from NET/SET for Ph.D. holders:
Candidates who obtained their Ph.D. before July 11, 2009, are exempted if they meet the following conditions:

  1. Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
  2. Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
  3. Conducted an open Ph.D. viva voce.
  4. Published two research papers (one in a refereed journal).
  5. Presented two conference/seminar papers funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
  • Candidates must submit certification from the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs) confirming these conditions.
  • NET/SET is not required for disciplines where these tests are not conducted, but a Ph.D. is mandatory.

Option B:

  • Ph.D. obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by:
    • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
    • Times Higher Education (THE)
    • Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU – Shanghai)

Relaxations:

  • 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates at graduate and master’s levels.
  • 5% relaxation (from 55% to 50%) for Ph.D. holders who obtained their master’s degree before September 19, 1991.
  • Equivalent grades in recognized universities will be considered.
  • Shortlisting based on academic score (Appendix II, Table 3B of Direction No. 20 of 2019, Govt. Resolution 8th March 2019).
  • Final selection will be based only on interview performance.
