Qualifications:

For Assistant Professor:

  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign university.
  • Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or similar accredited tests like SET.
    OR
  • Awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009/2016) exempting the requirement of NET/SET, subject to fulfillment of specific conditions:
    • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
    • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
    • Conduct of an open Ph.D. viva voce.
    • Published two research papers (at least one in a refereed journal).
    • Presented two research papers in conferences/seminars supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
  • NET/SET not required for disciplines where it is not conducted; Ph.D. remains minimum eligibility.
  • Alternatively, Ph.D. obtained from a top 500 ranked foreign university (QS, THE, ARWU rankings).

For Associate Professor:

  • Ph.D. degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
  • Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor.
  • Minimum 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • Total research score of 75 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of Direction No. 20 of 2019 and Govt. Resolution dated 8th March 2019.

For Professor:

Option A:

  • Eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
  • Published work with at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • Total research score of 120.
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and/or research experience with successful doctoral guidance.

Option B:

  • Outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree from recognized institutions/industry.
  • Significant contribution to the concerned field, supported by documentary evidence.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience.
