The University of South Carolina Upstate invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Marketing. Job Title:
- Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing

Position Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching courses in marketing and marketing analytics at USC Upstate or online
- Mentoring students and supporting undergraduate research and experiential learning
- Engaging with community and business partners
- Conducting and publishing scholarly research
- Contributing to service and outreach aligned with the College’s mission
USC Upstate seeks teacher-scholars who are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and working with a diverse student population. Support is provided through workshops, mentoring programs, and professional development funding.
The Johnson College of Business and Economics offers:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Marketing, Management, Accounting, and more
- Master of Science in Business Analytics
- Minors and dual programs, including international partnerships
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field (from an AACSB-accredited institution)
- Qualified as “Scholarly Academic” under AACSB 2020 standards
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and service
- ABD candidates with degree completion by August 15, 2026, may also be considered
- Successful background check required
Preferred:
- Experience and/or research focus in marketing analytics
