Position Description:

The successful candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses (hybrid, in-person, and online formats)
• Advise teacher education students
• Maintain an active research and publication agenda
• Contribute to college, university, and community service
• Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum development

This teaching position plays a vital role in preparing competent and compassionate educators for middle and secondary classrooms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Earned Doctorate in Teacher Education, Secondary Education, or a related field (ABD considered)
• Minimum of 3 years of PK–12 teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership experience within teacher education programs
• Background in curriculum design for middle and secondary education
• Research and publication record in relevant fields
• Service experience in academic and professional communities
• Familiarity with Michigan Standards for the Preparation of Teachers
• Experience in math/science education
• Undergraduate teaching experience
• Experience supervising fieldwork in grades 7–12
