Job Title:

Position Description:
The selected candidate will contribute to the development of sustainable and efficient industrial practices by conducting cutting-edge research and teaching in automatic control. Areas of focus include:
- Modeling, observation, optimization, and control of complex systems
- Development of methodologies to enhance system performance
- Promoting economically viable and environmentally sustainable solutions
Additional responsibilities:
- Teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conducting and publishing university-level research
- Participating in academic, administrative, and external scholarly activities
- Supporting the visibility and influence of the faculty and the university
Selection Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline (or be close to completion)
- Demonstrated relevance of academic background to the position
- Proven research capabilities and potential for independent research
- Teaching experience or potential at university level (all academic cycles)
- Commitment to pedagogical innovation and student supervision
- Ability to communicate and integrate within a French-speaking academic context (or willingness to do so within one year)
- Must be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or eligible to become one
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills
- High standards of ethics, responsibility, and academic integrity

Scale of Pay:
Salary will be based on the applicable collective agreement.
