Faculty Positions
IIT Hyderabad invites exceptionally bright, motivated, and qualified Indian nationals, including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), to apply for the following positions:
- Assistant Professor (Grade I & II)
- Associate Professor
- Professor
Foreign nationals are also eligible to apply for all faculty positions (on a contractual basis for up to five years).

Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. with first-class or equivalent grades in the preceding degree.
- Excellent academic record throughout.
Experience Requirements
Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
- Less than 3 years of post-PhD industrial/research/teaching experience.
- Strong record of publications in reputed (Q1) journals and top-tier (A*/A) conferences.
- Preferably below 35 years of age.
Associate Professor
- Minimum 6 years of post-PhD experience, with at least 3 years at Assistant Professor or equivalent level.
- Proven record of PhD guidance, research, and publications.
- Preferably below 45 years of age.
Professor
- Minimum 10 years of post-PhD teaching/research/professional experience, including 4 years as Associate Professor in IITs, IISc, IIMs, IISERs, or reputed foreign universities.
- Exceptional researchers (e.g., Bhatnagar Awardees, Fellows of INSA, INAE, IAS, NASI) are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated leadership in research, PhD supervision, and funded projects.
- Preferably below 55 years of age.
