Organization Profile
IIT Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and its first batch of students began classes in Paloura, Jammu. Initially mentored by IIT Delhi, IIT Jammu has established itself as a prominent institute for higher education. Although this position is non-teaching, IIT Jammu is currently part of a broader recruitment effort that includes various teaching jobs and teaching positions in colleges.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential:
- Graduate in any discipline from a Government-recognized University or Institute with at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.
- Desirable:
- Postgraduate in any discipline from a Government-recognized University or Institute.
- 1 year of experience in a reputed organization.
Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring smooth departmental operations, and assisting with various tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attending departmental meetings and recording minutes.
- Preparing, distributing, and maintaining meeting minutes.
- Following up on action items from meetings.
- Assisting in preparing, submitting, and tracking expense claims and reimbursements.
- Maintaining organized filing systems for departmental documents, reports, and records.
- Providing administrative assistance to the Heads of Departments (HoDs), including managing their schedules and correspondence.
- Coordinating logistics for departmental events, seminars, and conferences.
- Handling incoming and outgoing communications.
- Performing any additional tasks assigned by HoDs or senior staff.
Period of Engagement:
- 12 months, extendable based on performance.

Pay Scale:
- ₹23,000 – ₹35,700 per month
