NIT Puducherry (NITPY), located in Karaikal, Puducherry, is one of the ten new NITs in India. The institute is committed to producing skilled technocrats and leaders through high-quality education, research, and innovation.

• Established in 2010-11, NITPY admits students via JEE Mains, with 50% of seats reserved for residents of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam.

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline

• M.E. / M.Tech. or equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline

3. Computer Science and Engineering

• B.E. / B.Tech. in CSE / IT
• M.E. / M.Tech. or equivalent in CSE / IT

4. Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Desirable Qualification:
B.Ed. is preferred for Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics faculty positions.

Educational qualifications and experience should comply with NIT Statutes as per the latest Gazette notifications by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Selection Process

• Online applications will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on higher criteria.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a teaching/research seminar presentation.
• Selection occurs in two phases:
  1. Phase 1: Technical seminar & presentation in the candidate’s specialization.
  2. Phase 2: Interview by the Selection Committee.
• The Selection Committee’s decision is final and binding.
