Department Hiring:

Position Description:
This tenure-track faculty position focuses on:
- Extension and research to support specialty crop industries
- Applied entomological research in fruit and vegetable pest management
- Developing educational materials: fact sheets, podcasts, infographics, etc.
- Collaborating with departments and Extension agents statewide
- Contributing to pesticide training and organic/agroecological solutions
- Supporting IR-4 Project work with the USDA
The successful candidate will also mentor students, develop a nationally recognized research program, and secure competitive grant funding.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ph.D. in Entomology or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Applied entomological research
- Stakeholder engagement
- Extension/outreach using modern tools
Preferred:
- Experience with specialty crop pest management
- Strong academic publication and Extension record
