Qualification Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- Eligibility Tests: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SET.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards) Regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from NET/SET, provided they meet the following: Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
- Open viva voce conducted.
- Two research papers published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
- Two conference/seminar papers presented based on Ph.D. work.
- Ph.D. from Top Foreign Universities: Ph.D. obtained from foreign universities ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.
Pay Scale
As per UGC and State Government norms.
