Qualification Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
2. Eligibility Tests:
   • Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SET.
   • Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC (Minimum Standards) Regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from NET/SET, provided they meet the following:
     • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
     • Thesis evaluated by at least two examiners.
     • Open viva voce conducted.
     • Two research papers published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
     • Two conference/seminar papers presented based on Ph.D. work.
3. Ph.D. from Top Foreign Universities:
   • Ph.D. obtained from foreign universities ranked among the top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.
