Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

A.

1. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant subject.
2. NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. degree (as per UGC guidelines).

Ph.D. candidates exempted from NET/SET must meet the following:

• Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
• Thesis evaluated by two external examiners.
• Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
• Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal).
• Two conference/seminar presentations related to Ph.D. work.

B.
Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 globally by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.

Notes on Relaxations:

• 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled categories.
• Relaxation to 50% marks for Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s degree before September 19, 1991.

Salary:

As per UGC and State Government norms.
