Sembodai R.V. Arts and Science College, founded in 2020 by Philanthropist Rtn. Dr. R. Varatharajan, M.Com, M.Ed., D.Lit., is a part of the Rukmani Ammal Educational Trust. Established in 1994, the trust focuses on uplifting economically and socially disadvantaged communities in Nagapattinam District by providing quality education.

Located in the scenic countryside of Sembodai, the college is about 10 km from Vedaraniam and 40 km from Nagapattinam on the Vailankanni-Vedaraniam Road.
