Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as of July 1, 2025)

  • Associate Professor: Maximum 45 years, with up to a 5-year relaxation for service in teaching positions.
  • Assistant Professor/Assistant Professor (Pre-Law): Maximum 40 years. Up to 5 years of relaxation for teaching experience.
  • Persons with Disabilities: Age concession up to 10 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Maximum age 53 years for Associate Professor; 48 years for Assistant Professor.

2. Educational Qualifications

Associate Professor:

  • Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) from a recognized institution.
  • Ph.D. in Law.
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching or research experience.
  • Seven publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals.
  • NET/SLET/SET qualification unless exempted by a Ph.D. from a recognized institution.

Assistant Professor:

  • Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) from a recognized institution.
  • NET/SLET/SET qualification unless exempted by a Ph.D. from a recognized institution.

Assistant Professor (Pre-Law):

  • Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline (English, Sociology, Political Science, Economics) with 55% marks.
  • NET/SLET/SET qualification unless exempted by a Ph.D.
