Qualification Requirements
- Master’s Degree:
- 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an accredited Indian or foreign university.
- National Eligibility Test (NET) or Equivalent:
- Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or an equivalent test like SET.
- Candidates with a Ph.D., as per the UGC’s regulations (2009 or 2016), are exempted from NET/SET requirements under certain conditions.
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Ph.D. thesis evaluated by two external examiners.
- Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- At least two research papers published, with one in a refereed journal.
- Minimum of two presentations in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR-sponsored conferences.
- Foreign University Degree Holders:
- Ph.D. from a top-500 globally ranked university (as per QS, THE, or ARWU rankings).
