About the College
Founded in 1975, the Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education revolutionized education in Vijayawada. Over the past 44 years, the Academy has established 18 educational institutions, driven by a unified vision to bring about significant changes in education.
Believing that “There is no greater pillar of stability than a strong, free, and educated woman,” the Academy established Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala in 1983. This institution aims to provide quality education, with a particular focus on empowering women and developing them into well-rounded individuals with diverse skills and values.
The college achieved Autonomous Status in the 2003-04 academic year, introducing the Choice Based Credit System and Grading System in 2005-06. It has successfully completed three cycles of NAAC Accreditation, securing an A++ grade in the III-Cycle in 2021. Currently, the college offers 22 Honours programs at the undergraduate level, including B.A., B.Com., B.B.A., and B.Sc.
