The Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal, has announced recruitment 2025 for Assistant Professor positions in various departments. Eligible candidates can apply online and through postal submission.

The Central University of Kashmir (formerly Central University of Jammu and Kashmir) was established in March 2009. It aims to complement existing universities by offering innovative courses and recruiting faculty on an all-India basis, following the Central Government’s reservation policy. Admissions are conducted through a national-level entrance examination across multiple centers in India.

Eligibility Criteria

For All Departments (Except Management Studies)

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Educational Qualification:
   • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
   • Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC, CSIR, or equivalent.
   • Candidates with a Ph.D. (as per UGC 2009/2016 regulations) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
2. Ph.D. Exemption Criteria (For Candidates Registered Before July 11, 2009):
   • Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
   • Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
   • Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
   • Two research papers were published, with at least one in a refereed journal.
   • Presented at least two research papers in conferences funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
3. Alternative Eligibility:
   • Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 globally by QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai Ranking).

For Management Studies

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com. with First Class or equivalent.
  • Two years of professional experience after obtaining the Master’s degree.
  • NET qualification or Ph.D. (as per UGC 2009/2016 regulations) is required.
