- Candidates must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or equivalent tests like SET. Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. as per UGC 2009 or 2016 regulations are exempt from NET/SET.
Ph.D. candidates must meet the following criteria to be exempt from NET/SET:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Thesis evaluated by two external examiners.
- Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal).
- Two conference/seminar presentations from Ph.D. work.
Note:
- NET/SET exemption applies to disciplines where such tests are not conducted.
- Candidates with Ph.D. degrees from foreign universities ranked in the top 500 (QS, THE, ARWU) are also exempt from NET/SET.

- Completed UG/PG in relevant discipline with strong academic records.
- Passionate about teaching and guiding students.
- Strong communication and research skills.
