• Candidates must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or equivalent tests like SET. Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. as per UGC 2009 or 2016 regulations are exempt from NET/SET.

Ph.D. candidates must meet the following criteria to be exempt from NET/SET:

1. Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
2. Thesis evaluated by two external examiners.
3. Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
4. Two research papers published (one in a refereed journal).
5. Two conference/seminar presentations from Ph.D. work.

Note:

• NET/SET exemption applies to disciplines where such tests are not conducted.
• Candidates with Ph.D. degrees from foreign universities ranked in the top 500 (QS, THE, ARWU) are also exempt from NET/SET.

• Completed UG/PG in relevant discipline with strong academic records.
• Passionate about teaching and guiding students.
• Strong communication and research skills.
