Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior, is an autonomous institute established in 1997 by the Government of India, MHRD (now Ministry of Education). The institute focuses on higher education, research, and consultancy in Information Technology (IT) and Business Management. Initially known as IIITM Gwalior, it was renamed ABV-IIITM in 2002 in honor of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Eligibility Criteria

Professor

• Ph.D.
• Experience: 10 years post-Ph.D. or 13 years total (excluding Ph.D. enrollment), with:
  • At least 4 years as Associate Professor at Level 13A2, OR
  • 7 years at Associate Professor Level 13A1 or higher.

Associate Professor

• Ph.D.
• Experience: 6 years post-Ph.D. or 9 years total (excluding Ph.D. enrollment), with:
  • At least 3 years as Assistant Professor (Grade-I) at Level 12 or equivalent in a recognized university, R&D lab, or industry.

Assistant Professor (Grade-I)

• Ph.D.
• Experience: 3 years post-Ph.D. or 6 years total (excluding Ph.D. enrollment) after obtaining M.Tech.

Assistant Professor (Grade-II)

• Ph.D.
• Experience: Minimum 1-year post-Ph.D.

Emoluments

• Professor: Pay Level 14A ₹1,59,100 – ₹2,20,200
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2 ₹1,39,600 – ₹2,11,300
• Assistant Professor (Grade-I): Pay Level 12 ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400
• Assistant Professor (Grade-II): Pay Level 11 ₹68,900 – ₹1,17,200 (Minimum Pay ₹73,100)
